What We Do

Entry & Patio Door Installation in York, PA

Entry, storm, and patio doors hung square, with the threshold flashed so it seals.

Brick home entry with a red front door, white trim, and new overhead flashing

A door either closes properly or it does not, and everyone in the house knows which. When a door has to be shouldered shut, leans on its latch, or lets a visible line of daylight through in winter, the frame is almost never square and the threshold is usually the reason.

We hang doors to the opening rather than forcing the opening to accept the door, and we flash the threshold and jambs so water that reaches the sill has somewhere to go other than into the floor beneath it. A door set square and sealed properly stays that way; one shimmed into a frame that was never right does not.

Your entry door is also the first thing anyone sees of the house, and it is one of the few exterior changes that shows up immediately from the street. We finish the trim and the weatherstripping so it looks deliberate rather than replaced.
